Biography
William H. Rooney is a partner in Willkie's litigation department and Chair of the United States Antitrust practice group. He specializes in civil and criminal antitrust matters, including cross-border matters, before the courts and antitrust enforcement agencies. Mr. Rooney regularly handles litigations, mergers, investigations and counseling under the United States antitrust law and collaborates with Willkie’s European competition team in cross-border matters.
Selected Professional and Business Activities
Mr. Rooney is the Chair of the Antitrust Section of the New York State Bar Association and is the Vice-Chair of the Economics Committee of the Section of Antitrust Law of the American Bar Association. He is a past Chair of the Committee on Antitrust and Trade Regulation of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (2001 to 2004).
