Biography

Marc J. Strohl (mstrohl@protaxconsulting.com), CPA, is a founding Principal at Protax Consulting Services Inc. established 2001, previously with Deloitte & Touche LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young LLP.

He specializes in international U.S. individual income taxation issues as related to individual U.S. expatriates and nonresident aliens or foreign nationals working and living here in the U.S., serving individual clients as well as the employees of employer-sponsored programs of multinational companies. Marc is known for his concise and informative, industry benchmark authoritative, world renown executive summary tax articles on these topics often quoted and referenced.

Marc is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA’s International Taxation Committee and Taxation of Individuals Committee, and a regular contributor to the NYSSCPA’s “The Trusted Professional” and blog publications, including the critically acclaimed Thomson Reuters’ twice-monthly newsletter publication Practical International Tax Strategies. 

A frequent external guest speaker on U.S international individual taxation matters, he earned a Master's degree in Public Accountancy from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and a Bachelor of Science Honoring in Chemistry.
